About Kate
With 6 years experience working as a Japanese language tutor in Australia and 3 years experience living and working in Japan, I enjoy sharing my passion for Japan and its culture with both adults and children.
I am a qualified Japanese teacher, holding a Bachelor of Arts (majors in Japanese and Asian Studies) and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Western Australia and have worked in Japanese government and consular environments in both Tokyo and Perth.
I have been captivated by Japan and its beautiful culture for 25 years and love inspiring others to learn about the way of life and language of this country.

I teach hiragana, katakana, kanji scripts, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, as well as Japanese culture to anyone with an interest in Japan (from primary school level to high school level including Japanese ATAR for years 11 - 12 students).
I can tailor lessons to meet your specific needs or interests, with each lesson typically lasting an hour, however I can adapt the duration to your requests.
