Katie has been teaching my two kids (a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy) English for about 4 years now. My family lived in the UK between 2021 and 2023. My colleague recommended Katie to me as an English tutor because she thought Katie was a good English tutor for her son. I think Katie knows the level the students are at and begins her teaching from where the students currently are. As non-native English speakers, my kids had difficulties in speaking and listening in English at first. Katie used different types of teaching materials for my kids. Especially since my son was so young, she couldn't use reading materials to teach him. I have seen my son playing cards or toys with Katie in English, and sometimes he was sitting on her knees and talking to her. Non-native speakers easily get nervous when they speak in English. One of the best things Katie does when teaching is she makes the students comfortable. I remember my daughter speaking in a loud voice in broken English with Katie in the early days. She preferred to stay quiet those days rather than make mistakes, but it was different when she was with Katie. My kids really love her. They keep learning English from Katie online even after we moved back to Korea in 2023. I think Katie is a really good tutor.

Katie is an amazing tutor, she's always patient with the children and takes her time with them. She's creative with her ways of learning so children with different learning skills are able to understand. She helps them when they have a difficult time comprehending and makes everyone feel comfortable and confident. Highly recommend her to help students.
