About Vicky
My background is as a corporate trainer, in customer services, equalities and diversity, presentation skills and other 'soft' skills, as well as IT courses. I moved on to NVQ tutoring and assessing, then verification. I have been a cover teacher for English and maths in classes to adults and am qualified to do so, but have little experience in long term formal settings. As I am much more used to delivering close teaching with one-on-one and small groups, my tutoring style is much more focussed on your needs, and giving you the information you need to achieve your goals. I have been reviewed as kind, fair and encouraging. I will seek to help you in the best way possible, working with you to help you achieve your goals.
I have a BA honours degree in English literature and language, with 14 years of work experience focussing on communication and marketing, including writing content for websites, publications and advertisement.
I also am a writer, writing stories, poetry, plays and songs within my personal time for fun, and as a creative outlet. I encourage creativity, and bring a sense of fun to the virtual classroom.

Would you like to learn more about poetry? Or the difference between whom and who? The perfect pleasure of persuasive alliteration; or giving your CV an overhaul.
Degree qualified, with numerous teaching qualifications- we'll open with a mini-quiz or two (no pressure) to figure out which methods we should focus on, to help you learn in the best way.
Through general discussion in online tutorials, as well as vlog style recordings, writing tasks and readings, we'll work on clear objectives for every lesson to make sure we achieve what you expect.
When I was a student, my biggest challenges were remembering everything, and exam preparation, so I always bear in mind the needs of those who have difficulty with structuring their thoughts on the material.
I'll provide follow-up with condensed notes in a format best suited to your learning style, striving to provide you with tools to remember different aspects (including rhymes, songs and mnemonics).
