My approach as an IB PYP teacher with over 7 years' experience, centers on inquiry-based learning to foster curiosity, conceptual understanding, and lifelong learning attributes in young learners.
Teaching Techniques
I employ visual sketchnoting and calligraphy to make abstract humanities and arts concepts tangible and memorable. Hands-on activities, Padlet collaboration, and British English with IB terminology encourage active participation and reflection.
Class Structure
Each 45-60 minute session follows a KUD (Know, Understand, Do) format: 10-min provocation hook, 30-min guided inquiry with sketchnotes, and 15-min reflection/share-out. This builds progression from provocation to application.
