About Julia
I’m a dedicated reading tutor with over 8 years of experience helping learners develop strong literacy skills, from foundational phonics and decoding to reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and confident literary discussion.
Since 2020, I’ve worked with learners online across different ages and ability levels, creating personalized lessons that meet each student where they are. My goal is not only to improve reading ability but also to build confidence, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of reading.
I use a patient, supportive, and learner-centered approach, particularly for students who may experience dyslexia, ADHD, autism, language-processing challenges, anxiety, or gaps in decoding, fluency, and comprehension. I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, strengths, and needs.
Drawing on principles of child development, educational psychology, and inclusive teaching, I create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making progress at their own pace. My experience in literacy support and reading intervention has helped me develop a flexible, relationship-focused approach that empowers learners to become confident and capable readers.

Ideal for developing readers who need confidence, steady pacing, or skill-building beyond simply getting through the page.
Looking for a patient and encouraging reading tutor who understands that every learner develops at their own pace? I help students strengthen their reading skills while building confidence, fluency, comprehension, and a genuine enjoyment of reading.
I work especially well with:
* Beginning readers developing phonics, decoding, and pattern recognition
* Learners strengthening reading fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension
* Students who benefit from calm pacing, encouragement, and structured support
* Homeschoolers and students, particularly around Grades 2–6, developing stronger reading skills
For older learners, I also offer literature support. Sessions may include guided reading of fiction and nonfiction, exploring themes, characters, vocabulary, and tone, as well as developing written and oral expression in a relaxed, supportive environment.
