About Dev
I am a specialist in online teaching and a professional Biology teacher at one of the UK’s Top A Level Colleges. I have been a consistently successful teacher for over 30 years now. For over ten years I was the Head of Biology at one of the top performing secondary schools in Milton Keynes, England. I have been awarded the Designation of “Excellent Teacher” by OFSTED/DfE. In order to gain this award you need to show evidence of many years of outstanding teaching practice and outstanding student results, at both A Level and GCSE. In my teaching career, I have specialised in teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE (AQA, OCR and Edexcel), and Biology at A Level (AQA and OCR) and IB Biology. I have also tutored for over 25 years. I have a consistent record of outstanding student achievement in all the schools and colleges I have worked at, and in my role as a tutor as well.

Our lessons are held in small classes of 3-5 students which start in September. For GCSE, I teach the curricula from AQA, OCR and Edexcel. For A Level, I teach from the AQA and OCR curricula. I also teach IB Biology. If you would prefer, I also teach one-to-one lessons at £60 per hour. I take complicated scientific concepts and break them down into their simplest components so it is easy to understand and student friendly. My strategy is to teach through an inspiring and engaging manner. I find that it vastly improves student engagement and vastly improves student progress. I am passionately driven towards all of my students attaining the best grades possible. Therefore, I spend a lot of time focusing on the exam skills and techniques needed for students to excel and improve their exam grades. I use a variety of visual aids to help explain the scientific principles I am teaching. I provide all my resources used in the lessons to the students (this includes concise notes and exam practice questions). Throughout the process of learning, I will assess the students' quality of learning (within the lesson and through regular homework) and create bespoke lesson plans to help eliminate any misconceptions.
