About Francesco

My name is Francesco. I have two degrees in Fine Art from the Brera Academy in Milan and I’m specialized in painting. Over the years I studied, applied and experimented in my work a large variety of media, both traditional and contemporary, but my favorite one remains oil painting. My works have been shown in various countries like China, Bulgaria, Argentina, Italy and Germany which helped me gain much experience as an independent artist.
Currently, I also craft on commission copies after the old masters and masters of modernism as well as personalized portraits.

With me, you’ll be able to acquire the necessary foundations and discover your own artistic inclinations through the right stimuli and knowledge. Whether you are interested in basic or advanced classes, the aim, beyond the simple transfer of notions, is to create and nurture the sprout of a cultured, reasoned, and independent critical thinking.

Ideal for young students (14+), those who are interested in applying for art university and passionate adults of all ages.

If you are currently in school, I am available to help you with classwork preparation, oral exams, remedial work, final exams, entrance tests for arts faculties, and university exams.

If you are an enthusiast, I can assist you with basic principles as well as university and post-university level topics, depending on your starting level.

No specific prior knowledge is required.

Lessons can be held in English or Italian, as you prefer. So, if you are an Italian culture and language enthusiast, a foreigner in Italy, an Italian who is not yet very confident with the language, you know who to speak with!

The teaching method of the Drawing and Painting classes draws heavily from the old Italian tradition of art apprenticeship that made its Renaissance so great, while enriching it with our own contemporary sensibility and techniques. In this way you will eventually be able to acquire and process such an understanding of each technique that it will reshape your own sensibility, adding depth and a whole newfound set of tools to express itself.
Overall, the classes are set in an engaging and informal manner with each of you setting the pace of your own learning journey.

- Individual lessons of 45 minutes at $29 each, with packages: 5 lessons for $146 and 10 lessons for $269
