About Amy
As a graduate with a Bachelor of Primary Education from the University of Sydney, I have gained extensive practical and theoretical knowledge to benefit my teaching practice in working with students. As a teacher in modern society, I have been trained in teaching linguistically diverse students and excel in using technology. Additionally, one of my fundamental views in education is presenting equitable quality opportunities for students. Hence, this belief was further reflected in my choice of selecting “Principles and Practices” as my specialisation at university to eventually engage in a rewarding profession.
The teaching pedagogies I value most are ‘student-centred’ learning, setting high expectations, and providing multimodal resources. My long-term goal as a teacher is to empower students with the ability to thrive in life, by providing meaningful and helpful learning support according to individuals' needs. Additionally, my ambition and enthusiasm can guide me to consistently learn, develop, and grow for ongoing professional development.
