About Jack
I am a practising artist based in London who graduated from Arts University Bournemouth with first class honours. I feel like when I was a student going to interviews for universities and taking part in artwork tutorials that would go towards my final grade, I was feeling a lot of anxiety about what is expected of me. I want to be able to use my 10 years of experience to be able to give students a further understanding of how to talk about art and how to get the cogs turning in your head through conversations around selected artwork. Once we get to grips with talking about our art, we will start to go further into specific subjects related to your art and find new sources to read/watch/listen to and further develop our vocabulary around the work.

After going through the system of education in the arts, I feel I have experienced all of the interviews, tutorials and college shows to be able to help a student understand what is expected of them. I can help them with decision making on portfolios, how to talk around their own artworks and develop a narrative to help them better understand their work on a conceptual level. This would involve a back and forth conversation about selected artworks by the student and if necessary, some suggestions on activities for the student to partake in that might help develop an aspect of their practice that they feel they want to further develop.
