About Patrick
A PhD graduate in Creative Writing-Poetry, I have taught at the collegiate level for the past 20 years. I've published in many journals, including Kenyon Review, The Threepenny Review, Boston Review and many other places. In order to improve as a writer, you must focus on two things: reading closely and writing often. A lesson will typically consist of prompts, exercises to develop the prompts, one-on-one commentary on each submitted written piece, and discussions about revision, submission, and potential publication (or if you're a student, how to excel in your classes to get that A or scholarship). Anyone can learn how to write better, from teens to retirees! I've worked with all groups with great success.
