About Jayson
My name is Jayson and I am a student of Philosophy at Fresno State University. I know what its like to work with a tutor as a student and am prepared to help students with any and every question they have. I've worked tutoring students for almost two years now and enjoy every aspect of it. My only goal is to guide the student to learn the material they are given at the pace that best suits them. I don't believe in forcing any education nor will I give hard pressures to learn at a specific pace. I wish to simply help the student on their terms to help them navigate the world of reading, writing, and education.

I was trained to assist students in learning how to learn and study on their own. As a tutor my role is a to be a guide and a repository of skills and knowledge that the student can pull from to succeed in their academic goals.
I always like to find out where the student is so I can match their pace and perhaps uplift them. I emphasize doing the reading and work before coming to tutoring sessions so that the student is well prepared to navigate through the material. If the student is having enough trouble with the material I take it at their pace.
Guiding the student through a difficult topic and seeing their light bulb come on in recognition of their learning is one of the things I look forward to the most.
I am prepared to tutor any person of any age from K-12 to college and university level students in reading and writing as I think these are still relevant and important skills to hone in the modern day.
