About Serena
I'm currently in my third year of a graduate degree in biomedical sciences, so you know I at least enjoy the topic! I've taken all the courses for an undergraduate degree in the field—think evolution and genetics in high school up to cell bio, microbio, physiology, pharmacology, and more in university. I love teaching and helping those who need it, and am always ready to lend a listening ear to my students!

My lessons are based around what my student (potentially you!) needs most to succeed– whether that's personalized flash cards or practice exams, I'll evaluate what my student can improve on and find a method that works for them. I started tutoring biosciences in high school have continued since because I love helping students understand and enjoy science, and see improvements in their grades.

I initially struggled a lot with my first unit in Biology 30. I was recommended Serena by a peer due to her expertise in the field of molecular genetics and physiology.
