About Ruby

A little bit about myself:

I am trained extensively on Vinyasa/Hatha Yoga as well as Yin Yoga (Traditional Chinese Medicine, MyoYin, hip, spine and shoulder anatomy) and am also a Tibetan singing bowl therapist.

I would love to make yoga inclusive and assessible for people from all walks of life and share my knowledge and experience, in particular how yoga has changed my life, with the Community.

My teaching style focuses on cultivating one's body awareness and mind-body connection. With Yin yoga, you will be exposed to some Traditional Chinese Medicine theory as well as mindfulness and self-inquiry qualities in my classes.

About the lesson

I offer Hatha, Vinyasa, Relaxing Streches, Yin, theme-based classes (e.g. yoga for office worker, athletes, runners, cyclists, etc.), Yin Yang flow, Myofascial Release x Yin, as well as 1-on-1 sound healing sessions- see my other superprof ad.

Group Classes: Studio space in SE London - Crystal Palace
Come join me for an invigorating Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga class where we will explore different poses as well as work on body awareness with props, followed by a slow-paced, nourishing Yin Yoga class to prepare you for a good night's rest. ***Tibetan singing bowl may be incorporated in the Yin Yoga class***

Schedule: Tuesdays 10am Yin Yang, 11:15am MyoYin, 6:30pm Flow 45, 7:30pm Yin & Sound 75

Highly recommend Ruby for all types of yoga + sound therapy!!!

I came across Ruby on Superprof when I was looking for a yoga teacher for 1-on-1 sessions since I work from home a lot and would like to incorporate yoga practices in my routine. At first I was just looking for movement-based yoga (hatha/vinyasa) but then through Ruby I discovered the less common style - Yin yoga.

I would say it changes my life. The way Yin yoga is designed to allow our muscles and tissues to open up with longer duration of holds in poses, and the fact that there is no alignment rule shocked me. Through Ruby's Yin yoga classes I started understanding the true purpose of yoga - it's not about the movements and the poses, it's about the mind.

The traditional chinese medicine and meridian bits of Yin yoga is fascinating, in each session with Ruby, I learn a bit more about them. Sometimes she would play her tibetan singing bowls in the class and it again opened my eyes to the power of healing in the sound therapy realm.

First 30-min yoga class free plus feedback and discussion on next steps. Sound healing sessions are 1-on-1. Sound baths are in a group setting.
