About Harvey
I am a Physics student at the University of Oxford with 3 years of tutoring experience. I achieved 4 A*s at A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Spanish, as well as grade 9s in all 11 of my GCSE subjects.
Having recently gone through GCSEs, A levels and competitive university admissions myself, I understand both the subject content and the exam technique needed to achieve top grades. I particularly enjoy helping students turn topics they find intimidating into something manageable and systematic.
I teach A-level Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and can adapt lessons to students aiming for anything from improving their confidence to achieving A/A grades.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. We can focus on difficult topics, work through exam questions together, identify gaps in understanding or develop exam technique depending on what will help most.
I use an iPad during online lessons so I can work through problems step-by-step while explaining my reasoning, rather than simply giving students the answer. I also focus heavily on past-paper questions and showing students how to recognise the methods an examiner is looking for.
If a student isn't sure where their weaknesses are, we can use the first lesson to identify them and build a structured plan from there. My aim is ultimately to make students confident enough to tackle unfamiliar questions independently.
