About Luke
Hi my name is Luke; I have recently completed my A level exams in Physics, Maths and Chemistry. I am hoping to study Physics at University in September and later become a fast-jet pilot in the RAF.
Aside from academia, I am very active - regularly attending the gym and mixed martial arts classes. I also used to play football up until college, where I played as a striker.
I currently work 2 jobs, one as a tutor in an education centre and the other as a lifeguard.

On a 1:1 basis, I enjoy guiding students through the fundamental approaches to maths and science, before teaching the relevant methodology to tackling exam questions to ensure a strong understanding of the concepts necessary.
Lesson length - 1 hour
Typical Lesson Plan - 5 minutes going over previous content and focus of the current lesson, 5 minutes looking over the specification to find the key learning points set by the exam board, 15 minutes teaching and going through the methods available to tackle the content, 30 min working through exam questions ( I do, we do, you do) and 5 minutes to conclude, set homework and choose a topic for the next lesson.
GCSE qualifications include a grade9 in Maths, Physics, Chemistry & Biology
I have 2 years experience as a student tutor at Kip McGrath Education Centres whilst studying for my A levels as well as experience tutoring small groups within schools.
Ideally, my expertise is for those trying to excel in Maths and Science; aiming for the high end (grade 7,8 &9) at GCSE and pushing their knowledge onto A level. However, I do have plenty of experience with those who really struggle with understanding the key concepts within these subjects and needs a small boost to help them pass their GCSE exams
