About Nandi

I am a professional ESL Tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, specializing in English instruction for learners of different ages and abilities. I provide well-prepared, personalized lessons in a supportive and professional environment. My goal is to help every student improve their English skills, build confidence, and achieve their learning goals.

About the lesson

I believe that every learner is different, and my goal is to make learning feel comfortable, enjoyable, and achievable. I am a patient and supportive tutor who takes the time to understand what each student struggles with and then adapts my teaching style to suit them.

I use simple explanations, real-life examples, repetition, pictures, questions, and interactive activities to make lessons easier to understand and remember. For younger learners, I also use TPR, visuals, and fun activities to keep them engaged. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes because I believe mistakes are an important part of learning.

We start with a friendly introduction and a quick review of previous work. I then introduce the day's topic and explain it step by step. The student gets plenty of opportunities to practice through questions, reading, speaking, exercises, or activities. Throughout the lesson, I check their understanding and provide gentle corrections and encouragement. We finish by reviewing what we learned and identifying what the student should continue practicing.

I don't believe in rushing students or making them feel embarrassed when they don't understand something. I am patient and willing to explain a concept in different ways until it makes sense. With my experience teaching both online and in person, I have worked with learners with different abilities and learning speeds. I genuinely enjoy seeing a student go from saying "I don't understand" to confidently saying "I can do it!"

I offer lessons to primary and high school learners, as well as adults who want to improve their English. I can help with English reading, writing, speaking, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and communication skills. I also assist learners with homework, tests and examination preparation.
