About Elizabeth
I'm an Ontario Certified Teacher with experience teaching IB Language and Literature courses and supervising Extended Essays. I've worked with students from grades 9 through 12, and I have a special interest in helping others develop essay writing skills. I have 8 years of in-class and online teaching experience at Ontario high schools. I'm also an artist and love to teach about the intersection of pictures and words in media studies.

I'll work with you one-on-one to address the specific concerns you have in your high school English classes. You'll tell me what you would like to focus on - essay writing, reading and understanding literature (including Shakespeare!), comparing works, editing, or other topics important to you.
In a typical lesson we'll start by outlining the concerns you have. That will be followed with activities including reviewing your own writing and working together to build on skills immediately relevant to your needs.
