About Andrei

I'm passionate about biology and I hope to instil in my students passion and appreciation for the subject. I'll support you in every aspect and cater to your needs in order to help you visualise, understand and apply the knowledge learnt.

• O-Levels (2020) Pure Biology, Pure Chemistry, Pure Physics,

About the lesson

For students doing Pure biology, Combined Sci (Bio/Chem) and H2 Biology; length of lessons depend on student.

Pre-tutoring/Monthly review:
1: Diagnose key learning challenges such as:
• Enhancing visualisation and understanding of biological processes
• Bridging knowledge gaps in topics and SEEING Biology in one big picture (IMPORTANT)
• Analysis and identification of question types

2: Working with student with the following:
• Setting clear, measured, achievable goals and encouraging him/her to do a little more.
• Co-planning a study schedule and study tracker with student

During tutoring
1: Recap
• I'll provide a short summarised review of what has been covered last week with key pointers (5 mins)
• Go through homework from last week (if any)
• Student does timed Check-in MCQ Quiz (5 mins)
• Review of Check-in MCQ Quiz (5-10 mins)

2: Tutoring
• I'll provide notes for students to fill-in and annotate during the tutoring session
• Go through key knowledge and important points for particular topics
• Guidance in analysing and answer together more challenging actual O-level or A-level questions
• Guidance in analysing and answer together more challenging past-year school exam questions
- (any other help that student needs I will address accordingly during the tutoring session)

3: Post-tutoring Activity
• Co-create a guided mind map with student with key pointers from tutoring session (5 mins)
• Check-out MCQ Quiz (5 mins)
• Review Check-out MCQ Quiz (5-10 mins)
• Provide reasonable homework (depending on student's needs and requests)

Outside Official Tutoring time:
• Student can message me for homework help when urgently needed
