About Brittany

I am an artist and entrepreneur. I studied at the National Art School for 4 weeks in life drawing and got my Bachelor of Creative Industries at the University of Newcastle. I am currently studying an Undergraduate in Creative Arts and Health Art Therapy with UTAS. I thrive off helping people discover their own passions. I also take pictures, read and do yoga whenever I can.

About the lesson

My teaching method is by providing art demonstrations, academic drawing styles, art history and acrylic painting along with my students. I may talk about use of tone, colour, shadow, shape, perspective, 2D and 3D drawing and how to create impressionist realist works. I also discuss drawing styles such as manga, caricature realist, illustrative and academic. My lessons start from the very basics of drawing shapes and then seeing how shapes are in everything we draw all the way through to creating a body of work!

Perfect! Brittany is giving my 11-year-old daughter regular drawing lessons. She is always well prepared with a lesson plan and my daughter is fully engaged with each lesson and enjoying the lessons immensely. She has been learning techniques that have helped her improve her drawing style very quickly and she is even more excited about art and drawing than before. This first lesson offered with Brittany will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

Details

I am happy to travel as far as Maitland for an hour session for $65 or for a 2-hour session for $120. I mostly offer art lessons in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and the Central Coast. If you live outside these areas, no stress! I can send you a link either via Microsoft Teams or Zoom! My hours are always after 2 pm onwards on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
