About Simran

Hi! I’m Simran, a neuroscience student who is passionate about helping others learn and grow. I believe that with the right support, every student can succeed — and I am here to provide that encouragement every step of the way. I approach tutoring with patience, kindness, and flexibility. I understand that every student learns differently, and I’m always happy to adapt my teaching style to fit what works best for you. Whether you need extra practice, a slower pace, or different ways of explaining a topic, I will always meet you where you are. English has always been a subject I’ve loved, and I enjoy making learning a positive, stress-free experience. My goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and proud of your progress. I genuinely care about each student's success and am committed to making lessons supportive, motivating, and enjoyable. When I’m not studying, I love volunteering, love listening to music, and exploring nature (I love hikes). I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals at your own pace!

Hi! I’m a neuroscience student who loves helping others learn and grow. When it comes to tutoring English, I focus on making lessons clear, engaging, and customized to what you need most. My Teaching Style: I believe learning should be interactive and supportive. I like to break things down in a simple way, use real-life examples, and keep sessions active with discussions, practice questions, and helpful feedback. I aim to build not just English skills, but also confidence and critical thinking. What a Typical Lesson Looks Like: We’ll start by quickly reviewing what we covered last time, then dive into new material — whether that's reading, writing, grammar, or speaking practice. I make sure there’s lots of time to ask questions and work through examples together. We always end with a quick recap and set easy, achievable goals for next time. What Makes Me Different: Because of my background in neuroscience, I understand how the brain learns best — and I use that knowledge to make lessons as effective and motivating as possible. I’m patient, encouraging, and I truly care about helping students succeed at their own pace. Who I Teach: I work with students from elementary school all the way up to high school (Grades 1–12) in the GTA and St. Catharines area. Whether you're looking to improve your basics, prep for a big test, or level up your writing and speaking skills, I’ll tailor the lessons to fit your needs!
