About Gayathri
Hello! I'm Gayathri, a native Malayalam speaker from Kerala, with a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature. I have a genuine passion for languages and enjoy helping others build confidence in learning and speaking Malayalam.
I have experience working with international students from a wide range of countries through my roles in international education. Working with learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and an understanding that everyone learns differently. I believe language learning should be encouraging, interactive and enjoyable.
Whether you're learning Malayalam to communicate with family, reconnect with your roots, prepare for a trip to Kerala, or simply explore a new language, I'll tailor our sessions to your goals and learning style. I believe the best way to learn a language is by using it in real-life situations. As a native Malayalam speaker with a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, I understand both the learner's perspective and the importance of clear communication.
My lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to your individual goals. Whether you want to learn Malayalam to communicate with family, travel to Kerala, connect with your heritage, or simply explore a new language, I'll adapt each session to suit your needs and pace.
A typical class begins with a quick conversation or review of what you've already learned, followed by practical vocabulary, useful phrases, pronunciation practice, and interactive conversations. As you progress, we can also explore reading and writing the Malayalam script if that is one of your goals.
I focus on creating a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence. Rather than memorizing long lists of words, you'll learn how Malayalam is naturally spoken in everyday life.
