About Maya
I’m a native Lebanese Arabic speaker with over 10 years of teaching experience and a strong international professional background.
Before and alongside teaching, I built more than 15 years of experience across aviation, hospitality and customer service in the Gulf region, working with people from many different cultures and nationalities. I have also worked in translation, language adaptation and educational projects.
This international experience has strongly influenced the way I teach. I understand that people learn Arabic for very different reasons — communicating with family or a partner, working in the Arab world, relocating to the region, traveling, or simply connecting more deeply with the culture.
I enjoy making Arabic approachable and practical rather than overwhelming. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident speaking, asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I teach both adults and children, from complete beginners to more advanced learners, with a particular focus on spoken Lebanese Arabic as well as Modern Standard Arabic (MSA).

My lessons are practical, personalised and built around your goals. Whether you want to speak Lebanese Arabic with family or a partner, communicate confidently at work, live or travel in the Arab world, or simply feel more comfortable in everyday conversations, I adapt each lesson to the situations you will actually use.
For beginners, we focus on useful vocabulary, everyday expressions and simple conversations so you can start speaking from the first lessons. More advanced learners can work on fluency, pronunciation, natural Lebanese expressions and accent improvement.
I also teach Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), including reading and writing, and can combine MSA with spoken Arabic depending on your needs.
For children, lessons are age-appropriate, interactive and engaging, using games, stories, visuals and activities to make Arabic enjoyable.
Every student is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all programme. Your lessons can focus on family, work, school, travel or everyday life — with materials and practice selected specifically for your goals.
