About Joshua
My teaching career has just begun and I would like to develop as an educator and help to teach students of various ages. Being able to engage with my peers and further expand my understanding of how to provide the best teaching experience to students is something that I am extremely interested in. I thoroughly enjoy learning new things and being placed in a volatile environment where there are always new problems to solve.

Learning is a fundamental aspect of life that helps to shape you as a person. I want to help students become enthusiastic about
pursuing knowledge and give them the necessary tools to become future world leaders. Many people do not realise what can be achieved through education; and I want to show others how rewarding learning can be. I have been acquiring knowledge in the field of statistics since I have started university and I want to share my knowledge with others. I have also come to realise that lecturing is not a simple task and that it requires a whole host of skills. There are three skills in particular that are a part of my teaching philosophy. I think that you need to explain concepts in an understandable and interesting way, you need to keep students motivated and engaged even when they are going through difficult times and you always need to be creative and innovative within the classroom. I want to use these skills and others in my classes to help students achieve their goals and go wherever they want
in life.
I am only able to teach in English, however, my focus will be on ensuring that my students understand the concepts they are learning and not teaching them just how to answer questions for the sake of passing or getting done with the work. Fundamentals and principles will be focused on.
