About Sarah
I am a Literacy Teacher in California and have been loving my job for years. I helped many young children over the years become stronger students. I keep up with many new and fun craft activities that keep kids having fun and learning. I believe learning should be fun. I know the public school system because I have been working for public schools for 9 years. I started with Preschool and Special Education. I love sports and baking and reading good books and walks. I hope to get to have the chance to help more kids do better in school as a literacy tutor.

My students will learn to read with phonics-based lessons and fun and engaging activities. Review of skills and developmentally appropriate reading levels. I will go back to the basics and build up from there. As students master each skill starting with the alphabet and sight words, we will work towards blending and more advanced phonics skills. I will also be helping any students with handwriting skills if needed. Reading, writing, and spelling all work together. If your child needs help with spelling, I can address that need as well. I want to build strong readers, spellers, and writers. I have been working with elementary students in schools for 9 years. I have every faith I can help your child become a stronger reader and better student. If your child has any special needs or IEP goals, I can help with that as well and build those goals into any work I will be doing for your child. I will be assessing skills and growth regularly so I can adjust and follow all growth.
