About Campbell

I am a current medical student in Tasmania, with many years of tutoring experience in the biomedical and medical sciences.

I was the previous Head Demonstrator for anatomy at the University of Queensland (UQ), and taught biomedical, medical, physiotherapy, health science, occupational therapy, and speech pathology students in anatomy over 7 years. This included creating both formative and summative exam questions, and coordinating exam marking, which has given me keen insight into how to score well on exams. I also presented two formal lectures into a third-year visceral anatomy dissection course for premedical students.

I won the UQ Prosection Scholar Program award, sponsored by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, which involved 100 hours of anatomy dissection. I then worked as the Senior Prosector at UQ for 5 years. I graduated from a Bachelor of Biomedical Science with a GPA of 6.92 and as such, can tutor courses ranging from anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and many more!

I have also taught individual students on a one-to-one basis for over 5 years. I really enjoy getting to know my students and progressing with them over time.

Although I am new to Superprof, I am not new to tutoring! I look forward to hearing from you :)

About the lesson

My tutoring approach revolves around the idea that learning is cumulative. That is, in order to grasp higher level concepts, we need to fully grasp first principles. My teaching style, therefore, aims to deconstruct any misunderstandings, and rebuild with proper foundational understanding. For less conceptual and more informational content, my philosophy is simply repetition. I give students many opportunities to "teach" me, until the information is etched into their memories. We will solidify knowledge and conceptual understanding with numerous teach-back opportunities and exam-style questions to identify any areas for improvement.

If you are a current pre-medical, or medical student, I have much experience and knowledge to offer you to ensure you maximize your grades. International students residing in both Australia and overseas are also very welcome to apply.

My lessons will be conducted online via videoconferencing, and will be $60AUD/hr. A typical lesson duration would be 1 hour but I am flexible to suit your needs.
