About Toby
My name is Toby and I am currently studying a master's in Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of Manchester, with hopes of working in the offshore renewables sector. I hold extensive knowledge on electrical/mechanical engineering and physics concepts up to a Masters degree level.
I am drawn to tutoring because I was often told that I would not be 'smart enough' to get into engineering during secondary school and so I want to help others prove people wrong.

I am very adaptable to the individual student and would like to invest the time into learning how the student thinks, understands, etc., and building the lesson from there. I find that working through past papers is the most effective technique to employ as it builds factual recall and improves confidence when it comes to the real thing.
Typical lesson lengths can vary depending on the student's needs but usually 1-2 hrs.
My teaching experience is limited but I have taught my younger siblings during their GCSEs and before.
My lessons are intended for pupils pre & up to GCSE level. A-level teaching would be dependent on subject area/student.
