About Disha

Hi, I'm Disha,

I'm an Economist with 700+ hours of experience tutoring students at A-level & university

Trained at the LSE & Warwick, I've won prizes for my academic work & advised senior executives at Fortune 500 companies and governments on economic issues.

As a tutor, I've worked with A-level & university students for over 5 years. I have expertise across modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, financial economics and more...

I also founded my own education startup which uses behavioural science to engaging content on economics. This experience allows me to create engaging lesson plans.

So, as a tutor, I bring together academic expertise, strong tutoring experience & real-world experience as an economist.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured & tailored.

1. Engaging

I'm a strong believer that lessons should be engaging & have real-world applications. Learning shouldn't be boring and my job is to teach you by bringing Economics to life. So throughout my lessons, I always draw on current affairs & issues that impact your daily life.

2. Structured

Each lesson is also orientated around a goal, that we will define together. Will the lesson be to prepare for an upcoming exam or assignment? Will it be to focus on a complex topic you just can't get your head around? Or do we work on diagnosing problem areas in a particular module?

Based on the goal, I create a lesson plan which is interactive. So we work on problem sets & examples together in the lesson.

After the lesson, I provide a 1 page summary of notes on the concepts we've covered as well as a list of areas for you to work on outside the lesson.

3. Tailored

Each lesson is tailored to your exam board or your particular module. I have knowledge of how to score highly across all UK exam boards for Economics A-level. For undergraduate economics, I do research into the particular module you have chosen, go through your lecture slides and provide the help that is as specific to your university and course.

I also draw heavily on my own experience of academic performance. At university, I've won prizes for my academic performance. While at A-level, I sat exams across a number of exam boards and achieved high scores (A*, A), on all subjects incl. Economics & Pure Maths. I hope this speaks for itself as evidence that I have the knowledge to improve your exam performance.
