About Engy

Hello, I'm Engy! Hailing from Egypt and currently a 22-year-old studying International Development at the University of Sussex. My passion lies in the intricacies of the Arabic language, and I find great joy in sharing that enthusiasm through tutoring. While Arabic might pose challenges, I see it as one of the most captivating and beautiful languages. At the University of Sussex, I volunteer at the Language Cafe, where I help students engage with Arabic, leveraging my experience in tutoring to make the language accessible and exciting. Beyond tutoring, I host a radio show where I delve into Arabic music, further immersing myself in the cultural richness of the language :)

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy revolves around tailoring lessons to meet each student's specific goals, irrespective of their proficiency level. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I customize my teaching methods to suit individual preferences and learning styles. I'm passionate about incorporating engaging tools like games, multimedia such as films and music, and other creative techniques to make learning a vibrant and enjoyable experience for my students. Being a native speaker allows me to emphasize the nuances of pronunciation and accents, ensuring a deeper understanding and authenticity in language acquisition. My aim is not just fluency but also confidence in communication.
