About Josslyn
I am currently studying A-Level Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry. My lessons are comfortable, focused, and a safe space for growth and curiosity. I am an incredibly non-judgemental person and am certain that you will end my lessons with clarification and confidence. Furthermore, I experience of tutoring children aged 11-13 in my previous school, so I am patient and trustworthy of giving productive tutoring sessions.
Qualifications:
-A* in IGCSE Level Mathematics and Additional Mathematics in the Cambridge International Examinations
-A student tutor for a year based in Malaysia for students aged 11-13
-A dance teacher assistant for two years based in Malaysia

Because of COVID-19, I will only be giving lessons online.
My lessons are focused and progressive. Learning with me is easy and fun, and it is a safe space to grow and achieve good mathematical skills and knowledge.
From my past experience of tutoring young children, I have developed a way of teaching that is easy to understand as my explanations are simple and direct.
My teaching methodology revolves around 2 elements: understanding and skill development. I am familiar with the GCSE/IGCSE curriculums, so I start a student's course by locating what concepts they may lack in. This way I can adapt the course to tailor the student's specific needs of understanding in the syllabus. Along with understanding the main concepts in the syllabus, I like to develop further analytical thinking in students. I do this by using a combination of resources such as past year papers, worksheets, and class discussions.
Furthermore, my lessons are fun and comfortable, where growth from mistakes and failure is encouraged. Using these principles, I am certain that you will end my lessons feeling clarified and accomplished!

How long is each session?
- Each session with me will last 1 and a half hours.
What levels and age groups are your lessons open to?
- My lessons are generally open to students aged 7-16, who will be sitting IGCSE Level Mathematics or. I am also good with teaching any level below this.
When are your lessons available?
- I will be available for teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the evening. I am also available on the weekends.
What are your arrangements for online tutoring?
- I use Google Meets to teach as it has many tools that I find are good for interactive lessons. I also share resources and documents by Google Drive and Google Docs.
