About Justine
My journey in fashion began with a Foundation Year in Fine Arts, where I developed a strong creative eye and a deep appreciation for design. Then, I studied a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, combining artistic vision with technical expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and product development.
Throughout my career, I've gained experience across different areas of the fashion industry and in several countries. In Spain, I worked on swimwear technical pack development and contributed to the creation of premium made-to-order occasion wear. In Germany, I joined a zero-waste fashion brand as an Assistant Designer, where I deepened my knowledge of sustainable design practices and responsible production. In Canada, I have worked as a seamstress for several fashion companies in Montreal, one of the country's leading fashion hubs, further strengthening my expertise in garment construction, production techniques, and quality craftsmanship.
Alongside my professional experience, I've built three businesses that reflect my passion for fashion and entrepreneurship. I founded an artisan brand creating unique pieces from upcycled fabrics, driven by a commitment to sustainability and creativity. I also launched a freelance fashion design service, supporting brands with design development, tech packs, and product creation from concept to production. In addition, I run an alterations and custom sewing studio, where I help clients achieve the perfect fit and bring their ideas to life through bespoke garments and personalized sewing services.
As a teacher, I love sharing both the creative and technical sides of fashion. Whether you're taking your first steps in sewing or looking to develop advanced skills in pattern making, garment construction, or fashion design, I aim to make learning enjoyable, practical, and empowering. My goal is to give you the confidence and knowledge to create independently while sharing the professional techniques I've developed throughout my international career.

Sewing is much more than a practical skill—it's a creative way to express yourself and bring your ideas to life. My goal is to help you build confidence, develop solid techniques, and enjoy the learning process, no matter your experience level.
Every lesson is tailored to your goals and pace. Whether you're learning how to use a sewing machine for the first time, making your first garment, exploring pattern making, or refining advanced techniques, I'll guide you step by step in a supportive and encouraging environment.
My teaching is hands-on and project-based. I explain each technique clearly before putting it into practice through exercises or real sewing projects. Along the way, I share professional tips and methods that will help you become independent and continue progressing long after our lessons.

With experience in both sewing and pattern making, I can help you master the fundamentals as well as more advanced techniques, including pattern drafting, garment fitting, alterations, and custom garment construction. My goal is not only to teach you *how* to sew, but also to help you understand *why* each technique works, so you can confidently tackle your own projects.
