About Lawrence

I have over 15 years of teaching, coaching and mentoring experience in the UK and internationally, including Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Kenya, and online. I’ve taught at British Council–certified level in London and place strong emphasis on clarity, confidence, and practical communication.

My teaching style is friendly, inclusive, and learner-centred, with tailored lessons to individual goals while keeping progress structured and motivating. I and hugely enjoy teaching and am dedicated to helping my students develop their skills for their diverse goals

I have over 15 years of experience teaching English. I have taught at British Council–certified level in London and hold a 120-hour accredited TEFL qualification. My experience, both internationally and in my native UK includes:

My background includes adult learners, professionals, preparing students for IELTS, Business English, and advanced communication. My academic background (MA, University of the Arts London) informs a structured, analytical approach to language learning, particularly at higher levels.

I have a Masters Degree in Fine Art from University of the Arts, London (Chelsea College) and experience with writing for galleries, magazines, and press release.

Including for academic, professional, or exam purposes, IELTS/Cambridge C1, specialist subjects, interview and portfolio prep for creative learners. My students have included professionals working at a high level of government, applicants to university including UAL, and both the IELTS and Cambridge C1 exam.

Wide ranging subjects include policy level discussion, contemporary art, climate adaptation, marketing and business, and more.
