My tutoring approach and teaching style
My teaching approach is simple, flexible, and student-centred. As a top-performing student who regularly helps friends understand difficult topics, I focus on breaking complex concepts into clear, easy-to-understand steps. I believe learning should feel approachable, not intimidating.
I teach in a friendly and relaxed but focused way, encouraging students to ask questions freely and learn at their own pace. Lessons are adjusted based on the student’s level, strengths, and areas that need improvement. I also use examples, step-by-step explanations, and exam-style questions to help students truly understand, not just memorise.
Teaching methodology & lesson structure
Lessons usually start with a quick check of the student’s understanding, followed by clear explanation of the topic. We then practise questions together, and I guide students on common mistakes and exam techniques. I aim to make lessons effective, interactive, and enjoyable, especially for students who feel stressed or lost in class.
Lesson duration
A typical lesson is 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s needs and concentration level. Longer sessions can be arranged if required, especially closer to exams.
Qualifications & experience
I achieved 7A out of 9 subjects in Trial SPM and am currently awaiting my official SPM results. I am a strong scorer in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and I have experience tutoring peers in school, helping them improve understanding and confidence in these subjects.
