About Megan
I have developed strong hands-on experience in drafting my own patterns and sewing custom garments from concept to completion. From sketching ideas and creating pattern pieces to adjusting fit and refining construction techniques, I enjoy every stage of the process. Making my own clothes has strengthened both my creativity and technical understanding, allowing me to experiment with different fabrics, silhouettes, and finishes. I am naturally curious and always eager to learn new skills, whether that’s exploring advanced tailoring methods or trying out innovative design approaches, and I continuously seek opportunities to grow and refine my craft.

Being a sewing tutor is about more than teaching stitches and seams — it’s about helping people turn ideas into something they can hold in their hands. As a sewing tutor, I guide students through everything from understanding their sewing machine to mastering techniques like garment construction, alterations, and pattern reading. Whether working with complete beginners or experienced makers refining their skills, I focus on building confidence, creativity, and independence. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a student go from “I can’t” to proudly wearing or gifting something they made themselves.
