About Shelby
Hi! I'm Shelby! I'm a graphic designer and video editor of 10+ years who has worked with organizations big and small, from nonprofits to corporations to universities. This wide range of experience means I understand how to adapt creative solutions to different needs and audiences. I've been a freelancer for 3 years and have taught countless students in Adobe and Canva products. I'm passionate about using design to support social justice causes and believe that creative skills can make a real difference in the world.
When I'm not working, you can find me cuddling with my cats, Biscuit and Gravy, or creating fun things at my local makerspace. I bring the same enthusiasm and creativity to teaching that I bring to my client work, and I'm committed to helping you build the skills and confidence you need to achieve your creative goals.

My teaching method is hands-on and personalized. I meet you where you are and adapt each lesson to your specific goals. We'll work directly with your actual projects, covering everything from the basics to advanced techniques, whether it's Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or Adobe programs. I believe the best way to learn is by doing, so you'll gain confidence alongside your skills.
What sets me apart is that I understand the why behind the how. I combine professional design expertise with a warm, supportive teaching style that helps you not just learn the tools, but understand how to use them effectively for your creative goals. My lessons work for complete beginners, hobbyists working on personal projects, professionals looking to expand their skillset, or anyone wanting to level up their Adobe knowledge. No prior experience necessary! I look forward to working with you!
