About Kenton
Hi, I’m Kenton, a graphic designer and instructor with professional experience in branding, marketing design, digital content creation, and Adobe Creative Suite.
I currently teach graphic design and work with students at different stages of learning, from complete beginners to those building portfolios and preparing for creative careers. I also work professionally on real client projects, which allows me to bring practical, current industry experience into every lesson.
I understand that learning design software can feel overwhelming at first, so I focus on making lessons clear, supportive, and easy to follow. My goal is not only to help students learn the tools, but also to understand design thinking, problem solving, and how to build confidence creatively.
Whether someone needs help with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, layout, branding, assignments, or portfolio development, I tailor each lesson to their pace and goals.
I believe good teaching comes from patience, encouragement, and meeting people where they are. Everyone learns differently, and I aim to create a comfortable space where questions are welcome and progress feels achievable.

I’m a working graphic designer and instructor with professional experience across branding, marketing materials, digital content, social media design, and Adobe Creative Suite. Alongside client work, I currently teach graphic design students and help them build both technical skills and creative confidence.
My approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to where each student is at. Some students need help understanding the basics of software like Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign, while others want guidance on layout, branding, logo development, portfolio building, or preparing projects for print and digital use.
A typical lesson usually starts by understanding what the student is working on or where they feel stuck. From there, we work step by step through tools, techniques, design thinking, and real examples so the learning feels clear and useful rather than overwhelming. I also explain why certain design choices work, not just how to click through software.
What sets me apart is that I teach from real industry experience, not just theory. I understand deadlines, client expectations, creative problem solving, and how design works outside the classroom. I also know that everyone learns differently, so I focus on making lessons comfortable, clear, and encouraging.
