About Laura
I’m Laura, I graduated from Coventry University in 2012 with a Graphic Design degree. I have since worked in branding, advertising, publication design and packaging design. In recent years I have began training and coaching and have found a passion for it. I love teaching others the skills they need for real life jobs in the creative industry. University helped build a portfolio, however I found it didn’t leave me with the skills I needed for life in the real world which is why my approach to tutoring focuses on technical skills that can be applied to a variety of jobs in the sector. My specialism is Adobe Indesign which I have used most throughout my career and I also teach elements of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro. I am friendly, professional and pride myself on getting a successful end result out of all my students.

Having coached and tutored for the last few years in my job, I use a module based approach that can be applied to real life situations and projects starting from the basics and working up to advanced level. I am passionate about teaching people the skills they need for the real world. I have worked and specialise in advertising, newspaper and magazine design, branding and packaging design where InDesign plays a huge part in those sectors. I also teach elements of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro that can be applied to those specialist subjects. I tailor my tutoring to reflect the student’s learning style which ensures the most is gained from each session.
