About Nabeel

I graduated from The Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia (not affiliated with the madina institute in Cape Town) with a degree The Faculty of Dawah (Islamic Call). I completed the 2 year diploma/bridging course (known as the Ma'had) where the main grammar book is "Lessons of the Arabic language for non-native speakers". Thereafter I did 2 years of Arabic grammar as part of my university degree. I studied and speak in MSA (Modern Standard Arabic also known as "fusha"), as this is the medium of Arabic used in the university.

This is my second profile on the site, and I taught at two homes before for R150/hr excluding travelling fee before Covid-19. Arrangements can be made.

I have not done group classes before but this is something which I would like to try with all who are willing. This can be discussed off-site.

About the lesson

I religiously follow the book "Lessons of The Arabic language for non-native speakers" as this is what I was taught and a book used at the university for 40 years. It is straight forward and simple. The method I recommend is to explain the concepts and memorise the vocabulary, as without words the text won't be memorised, and speaking won't be possible. It requires patience and constant work.

Perfect! He’s a great teacher who focuses on learning Arabic the way it’s done in The Islamic University of Madinah. He provides the student with the curriculum and explains how the learning of the language is going to be done. His qualifications make him very apt on being able to explain the difference in how to understand English and Arabic as well as the different implications of the words.
