About Feride Ada

I have been teaching IB Diploma Programme and IB MYP for approximately six years. I am currently a part of the Veritas Academy team, which is supporting over 1,200 students annually and Türkiye’s first International Baccalaureate (IB) tutoring center, supporting students from some of the most prestigious IB schools around the world throughout their academic journey. I also worked with 200+ international and local clients across global platforms such as TutorChase (UK), Top IB Tutors (Australia), Axiom Academic (France). Managed the needs analysis, communication, and follow-up processes of a diverse international client portfolio, working entirely in English with students and parents from the United States, China, Japan, Australia, Qatar, Switzerland, Germany, Türkiye, and other countries.

As someone who has successfully graduated from the IB program, I not only help my students understand the subjects but also support them in managing their schedules effectively. Each year, I carefully analyze exam question types and continuously update my own revision notes for each subject, enabling students to study in a highly exam-focused way.
Furthermore, I share my own IA, EE, TOK Essay, and Exhibition work, each of which received top scores, and guide my students using writing guidelines that I revise annually. In this way, alongside active learning in our lessons, I support my students with additional resources to help them achieve success. In addition to my formal education, I have deepened my expertise by working as a teaching assistant in the course for a MIT Professor and conducting physics research projects with professors from NYU, and leading Turkish universities such as Istanbul University. In my lessons, I integrate these experiences through active learning and real-world applications.

About the lesson

Our lessons consist of two main components. In the first part, I begin by presenting a brief review of the topic in a clear and accessible way, using real-life examples to spark curiosity and allow students to naturally develop questions. I then actively encourage students to ask these questions.

To address them in depth, we move into a more detailed exploration of the topic. Through exam-focused explanations and problem-solving sessions, I familiarize students with different question types and train them strategically to help them achieve a 7.

Additionally, having had the opportunity to work with students diagnosed with ADHD, I effectively use my tone of voice, humor, and gestures to maintain student engagement and focus throughout the lesson.
