About McCall
No matter what life or career path you ultimately choose, writing is a core life skill that will be of immense value to you in every facet of your entire life. Your ability to express yourself in writing runs parallel to you developing your speaking and critical thinking skills.
I encourage students from where they start and build from there. I have always loved the English language; it’s always an adventure. I have passed that love on through previous individual tutoring experience and 2 1/2 years as an English instructor with Berlitz GmbH in Hamburg, Germany. Other experience includes being a copywriter for global ad campaigns for Japan Airlines, Canon, Bandai Toys (Power Rangers, Ben 10), script reading for Miramax, Columbia Pictures, and others.
Plus, I have written specialized articles and training programs, and of course hundreds of proposals over the years.
My students have ranged from high school students to corporate CEOs. From diplomats to students facing down their first SAT.
I’ll keep sessions fun n’ fruitful. I’ll be supportive in the present while building for the future.

Before anything, writing is an exploration, then a skill, then a practice, and finally an ongoing discipline. While projects may come and go, your development as a writer never ends.
My lessons examine the “why” of my student’s writing to find their creative and motivational core before I help them develop the “how”.
I incorporate reading to help build a student’s inner map and develop and then expand multiple layers of comprehension.
I also help keep the lessons fun and optimistic, I know writing is a journey and a hard one. Solid coaching helps students to not feel alone as they make their early steps while together we build a foundation that will serve and support every aspect of their lives.
