About Abigail

Hi, I’m Teacher Abbie!

I’m an English educator and TEFL-certified tutor who believes learning should be effective, engaging, and enjoyable. I love turning difficult topics into simple, understandable ideas and creating lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence.

I’ve worked with learners of different ages, levels, abilities, and educational backgrounds, both online and in the classroom. Whether you’re preparing for school, improving your English, building your confidence, or simply looking to become a better communicator, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward.

My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each learner because no two students learn exactly the same way.

I love to read, eat, sing, watch movies and sleep.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach

I use a learner-centered and interactive approach, adapting each lesson to the student’s level, learning goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.

I combine clear explanations with questioning, guided practice, real-life examples, discussions, worksheets, quizzes, and digital activities. I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and apply what they learn rather than simply memorizing information.

A Typical Lesson

A lesson usually includes:
Review → Introduction → Guided Practice → Independent Practice → Feedback → Recap.

I keep lessons structured but flexible, allowing me to adjust the pace and activities based on the learner’s needs.

What Sets Me Apart

I focus on both academic improvement and confidence. My goal is to help learners understand concepts, communicate effectively, and become more independent in their learning. I also believe learning should be engaging, practical, and appropriately challenging.

Who I Teach

I teach Elementary, Middle School, High School, and adult learners- Exam Prep, Business English.

I support learners across British, American, Canadian, including English, ELA, reading, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, writing, and communication skills. I also work with ESL learners and students transitioning between different educational systems.
