About Femi
Hi I'm Femi! I'm 16, and I was born and grew up in Bath, England.
Whilst I have strong academics, I know that's not all that makes a good tutor. Within my boarding house at RGSHW, I tutored my friends who I shared rooms with and helping them understand concepts that they found difficult moments before left me incredibly satisfied. This also helped me to realise how to teach students who come for me for help.

Maths very often seems daunting, but I believe it is a beautiful and deeply interconnected subject. I'm sure it initially looks like a collection of arbitrary rules and symbols, but they become much simpler once you understand the tiny, easy ideas behind them.
As a tutor of maths, I am aiming to help students overcome their fear and frustration they may have towards maths and replace it with confidence and understanding. I focus my lessons on visualising concepts, breaking difficult problems into manageable steps, and showing the connections between different areas of mathematics, linking geometry to algebra to trigonometry and furthermore.
While it's easy to simply memorise formulae, I want my students to understand *why* things work which will not just prepare them for the exam, but inspire them to engage with the subject of Maths. My goal is to make maths feel simple, intuitive, and enjoyable.
