About Edie
I'm currently on a gap year, in between sixth form and university. Next year I plan to attend university in London to study a BSc in paramedic science. I've always loved biology, as well as English. In my GCSEs I scored a 99 in English, and a 6 at IB, with my EE focusing on English. In biology I scored a 6 at GCSE and a 6 in IB.
I am someone understanding of the pressures of secondary school studies, the IB especially, who also needed a tutor to get myself through it! I also prioritise organisation and repetition when it comes to consolidating revision material, as well as the students' desires for content covered!

I understand that everyone learns in different ways, and having my own private tutor as a younger adult helped me a lot, so I know that personalised lesson plans are important depending on the individual. I'd start my first session with a chat, asking how the individual likes their lessons, whether through visual learning, quizzing or writing out content/contemporary teaching styles. After establishing that I'd quiz the student to get a basis of their strengths and weaknesses, and ask if there's anything in particular they'd like covering. Then I'd use online curriculums and past papers to help plan lessons crafted to what they need to improve on most.
