About Ruby

I completed my GCSEs and A Levels at Devonport High School for Girls, achieving top grades (8–9) in all my subjects. I’m now studying for a BSc in Data Science and love helping students reach their academic goals. Most of my tutees are preparing for GCSEs or A Levels, and I focus on building their confidence as well as their understanding of key topics. My lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning style — helping them achieve the results they deserve!

About the lesson

I hold my lessons on Zoom, and each session lasts about 55 minutes — I find that’s the perfect length to stay focused without things getting tedious! I’m usually available on weekdays from 6 PM onwards and most of the day on weekends. This schedule works really well for my students, as they’re busy with school during the day on weekdays.

My friend recommended Ruby for my son’s tuition. I was initially uncertain whether she would be the right fit, especially since her fees were significantly lower than other tutors—around 4 to 5 times cheaper. However, after the trial class, I was convinced she was a great choice.

Since then, my son’s math skills have improved remarkably. The smaller age gap between them also made him feel more comfortable compared to learning with more mature tutors. Ruby has not only helped him excel academically, but her approachable teaching style also made the learning experience enjoyable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for effective and affordable tutoring!
