I have been an English teacher for 4 years and have experience with both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curricula. My most recent employment has been at a school with a high proportion of students for whom English is an additional language (EAL).

I use a flexible teaching methodology and change the structure of my lessons based on student ability, knowledge and understanding. I focus on the requirements of the GCSE syllabus but I do this using stimuli that are relevant to the students' experiences, that they find interesting, and that they can engage with.
