I have been working with Lauren for 10 months, and she has been an incredible teacher. Her professionalism and attention to detail have encouraged me to continue on my painting journey. Lauren is amazing. Full stop. I've been coming to her for maybe a year and I look forward to every session. What I love most is that she lets me pick the topic or the drawing or go after any element of drawing that looks like the next creative adventure. While I get the freedom to pick what we do, she's a steady and firm hand on HOW we do it. A friend wanted a drawing involving a building...she took that opportunity to teach me about perspective and vanishing points. Folks ask me for pet portraits, she can tell me immediately why "these eyes don't read, we need more shading..." so that was a lesson on shading and capturing emotion. I was having trouble with keeping body parts in proportion...so we worked on dozens of quick sketch body sketches in different positions...she drilled me...and now my confidence is much higher, so much so I started drawing in public. Drawing has gone from an idea, to a hobby, to an element of my life...and I have Lauren to thank for that. Five stars.

Lauren is a patient, supportive teacher. She goes out of her way to give advice, suggestions, and further resources. Besides which, she is friendly, down to earth, and a really nice person!

Lauren has gone out of her way to get to know me both personally and professionally so that she can better provide inspiration. She's very constructive with criticism and provides the instruction needed to improve skills. In general, she's very kindhearted and fun to work with, easing the frustrations that come along with perfecting artistic skills. Lauren is very good at teaching online, so definitely consider her no matter where you live.

Lauren is patient, giving, knowledgeable, and just a lovely person to know. As a teacher, she is within her normal personality parameters which makes her absolutely superb teacher. Can't recommend her highly enough.

Lauren teaches me new art skills targeted to where I am in my professional art journey each time we meet!
