About Sheikh

Hey! I am Sheikh Rahman, an A-Level student from London who is currently studying Maths, Economics and Chemistry. In my GCSE I achieved Grades 7-9 in all my subjects. I know how difficult it is to prepare for GCSE which is why I want to use my past experience of revising for GCSE and offer lessons to provide the most effective ways to study and understand content in order to reach those top grades. My goal as a tutor is to help you understand each topic with ease by bringing out your full potential and help you approach your exams with confidence so that you can achieve the best possible grades!!

About the lesson

As a Maths and Science tutor, my approach focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and personalised learning environment that helps each student build confidence and understanding in their subjects. 1. Assessment and Goal Setting * I begin by assessing the student’s current knowledge, learning style, and academic goals. * Together, we identify specific areas for improvement and set achievable short-term and long-term objectives. 2. Personalised Lesson Plans * Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs—whether they need help grasping core concepts, improving problem-solving skills, or preparing for exams. * I use a mix of visual aids, practical examples, and step-by-step explanations to make complex topics clearer and more relatable. 3. Active Learning and Engagement * I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and actively participate in solving problems. * Interactive exercises, real-world applications, and hands-on activities (especially in science) help reinforce learning. 4. Building Confidence and Independence * I focus on strengthening foundational understanding so students can tackle new challenges independently. * Regular feedback and encouragement help students recognise their progress and develop a positive attitude towards learning. 5. Progress Monitoring and Adaptation * I regularly review performance and adjust teaching strategies based on the student’s pace and evolving needs. * I also communicate with parents (if applicable) to provide updates and suggest ways to support learning at home.
