About Danaan

I am a teacher candidate currently completing the Professional Development Program (PDP) at Simon Fraser University on the path towards becoming a BC certified teacher. I hold a master's degree from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemical Physics from Simon Fraser University. I have seven years of experience tutoring high school science and eight years of experience working with children and youth in outdoor education. Overall, I am passionate about cultivating curiosity, excitement, and joy in learning!

About the lesson

I am a kind, friendly, and patient teacher. I understand that each student has their own unique learning style and pace, and I am able to accommodate varying needs and levels of support. Science can be difficult, but it can also be incredibly fun and rewarding! This is why I try to make my lessons as engaging and interactive as possible while offering encouragement along the way.
