About Sean

I’m Sean, a former law lecturer and newly qualified barrister. I will start my pupillage with Doughty Street Chambers later this year.

I have a wealth of knowledge of the law. I finished top of my class during my law degree at Bristol and achieved a distinction on Oxford’s advanced master’s degree in law -the BCL.

I have also worked as a legal assistant to two judges at the Court of Appeal which has given me another perspective on the law. I have done many pupillage interviews and applications so can also help on this.

About the lesson

I am a former law lecturer and newly qualified barrister. I will start my pupillage with Doughty Street Chambers next year. I am looking to tutor a few students in law, including the bar exams, in the meantime. I can also help with applications for pupillage, law school or other law jobs. I have lots of experience, including a year as a law lecturer at King's College London.

I am fully convinced that Sean is an amazing tutor. Any time I had doubts on a particular topic, he would explain it to me calmly and clearly. He is extremely well-prepared and patient.

A simple story will tell how good a tutor he is. I come from a civil law jurisdiction and I was having some difficulties in understanding Trusts. A simple read of his notes and a study session with Sean were able to introduce me to Trust Law, giving me a solid base for self-study.

Finally, I am currently a tutor myself, at Oxford, teaching Land Law and Comparative Private Law. It is also based on this experience that I fully trust that Sean will be an amazing tutor.
