About Kelly
I am a qualified primary school teacher that graduated from Macquarie University in Bachelor of Arts and Primary Education majoring in Education at the start of the year. I teach across all Key Learning Areas (English, Mathematics, Geography/History, Science, PDH and Chinese LOTE) for Primary K-6 students. I have been classroom teaching since the beginning of 2020.

My teaching method is a personalised learning plan for the student. For example, if a student is not doing well in a subject I would first like to do a pre-assessment. This allows for misconceptions in the subject area to be addressed early on. From there, we would work on these misconceptions and then a post-assessment to look for areas of improvements. I also like the incorporate real world examples as this will allow for student engagement. For my lesson structures I usually like to start off with a game related to either the new topic or to recall on the topic from the previous lesson. Then we go through the learning objectives of the day and end the lesson in a summarisation of what the student has learnt.
