About James
As a First Class Honors Aerospace Engineering undergraduate, I have a strong foundation in mathematics and physics and a proven ability to break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand ideas. I focus on teaching in a strategic and creative way, helping students approach problems with clarity, confidence, and effective techniques.
With 1 and a half years of tutoring experience across a range of ages and abilities, I have developed an adaptable teaching style that prioritizes understanding, confidence, and results. I take pride in being patient, approachable, and reliable, ensuring each student feels supported while being challenged to reach their full potential.

My teaching approach focuses on developing a deep understanding of concepts, building effective problem-solving strategies, and ultimately helping students achieve their best independent performance. I aim to ensure students are not just following steps, but truly understanding the reasoning behind each solution so they can confidently tackle new and unfamiliar problems.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and typically run for 60 minutes. During this time, we review key concepts, work through guided examples, and practice exam-style questions to strengthen both understanding and performance under exam conditions.
I have 1.5 years of tutoring experience working with students across a range of ages and skill levels. This has allowed me to adapt my teaching style to suit different learning speeds and ensure each student receives the support they need.
My lessons are designed for high school students working towards the HSC, including all levels of Mathematics and Physics to all extension units. I support both students aiming to improve their confidence and those striving for top academic results.
